The Epson Stylus Pro 9880 is a 44 professional wide-format printer incorporating forward-thinking designs with enhanced 8-color ink technology, resulting in a final print of uncompromising quality. Using Epson UltraChrome K3 ink technology, the printer requires only eight colors, including three-level black technology and Vivid Magenta pigments to produce archival prints with amazing color fidelity, gloss level, and scratch resistance, while providing consistently stable colors. The three-level black technology also creates neutral and toned black and white prints with high density levels along with virtually no metamerism or bronzing. The MicroPiezo AMC print head gives the printer a high level of ink droplet accuracy, while an ink repelling coating technology dramatically reduces nozzle clogging. Combined with Epson AccuPhoto HD screening technology, the MicroPiezo AMC print head produces a resolution of 2880 x 1440. Handling roll and cut-sheet media up to 44 wide, the Epson Stylus Pro 9880 features accurate automatic loading of cut-sheet media up to 1.5 mm thick posterboard. The printer's user adjustable Roll Media Spindle accepts either 2-inch or 3-inch media cores.
